Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (KG / 1543) and the date (6/7/1441 AH), and referred to in the letter of the Ministry of Trade No. (39407) and the date (1/7/1441), based on The letter of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Authority for Conformity and Quality No. (P / 5540) and the date of (22/6 / 1441H), and the decision of the Authority’s Board of Directors at its meeting No. (170) and the date of (21/7 / 1440), to approve the compulsory Saudi standard specification No. (SASO 2927: 2019), related to (Energy Efficiency Requirements, Operating Requirements, and Labeling of Lighting Products - Part Three - Street Lighting), the news of which their accreditation was published in Umm al-Qura in the number No. (4788) issued on (11/25/1440) corresponding to (28/7 / 2019), and to the decision of the steering committee of the Saudi Energy Efficiency Program that includes starting compulsory application of the above-mentioned specification on local factories and customs outlets for imported products As (of 9/10/1441)corresponding to 1/6/2020, and notifying all importers of street lighting products and urging them to abide by the above-mentioned application date and the necessity that these products have a national recognition certificate corresponding to the (IECEE) certificate issued by the authority Note that one of the requirements for the issuance of a national recognition certificate corresponding to (IECEE) is certified and energy-efficient.
